Holiday shopping shortcut -- and FREE craft workshop in Gainesville!

Gift card holder

Running out of time to shop this holiday season? Take a shortcut by buying gift cards and tucking them in cute little mini-stockings that you create out of recycled sweaters and scrap bits of trim.

Next year, the recipient can use the stocking as a Christmas ornament, or re-gift it to someone else with a fresh gift card inside. Reduce, reuse, recycle!

Want to make your own? Join me for a FREE craft workshop at the Tower Road branch library this Thursday from 6:30-7:30 p.m. I'll bring all the supplies that you need, but feel free to bring any scrap bits of trim that you might be saving for a special project.

For more information, visit the Facebook event page for the workshop.

Thanks Deidre! I took a look at your blog and loved your tutorial for the fabric pom-poms. I have some scraps of fabric that are just begging to be turned into pom-poms!
