It was all inspired by that Crafters Coast to Coast episode I saw with Julie Charles. If you make one, here's a tip -- sand the 8-Ball and then rub it down with a tack cloth before you adhere the pieces. I had a few pieces pop off after it was done. I've printed out several online tutorials to mosaic bowling balls for the garden (like gazing balls). I've seen pennies, glass, stones, even plastic lizards. But THIS really speaks to me.
